Morphological Characterization and Adaptive Trail of Two Prominent T. Aman Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Lines under Different Locations of Bangladesh

Two advanced lines: BR8693-8-4-2-1 and BR8693-17-6-2-2, along with BRRI dhan49 (S. Ck) dhan33 (R. as checks were tested at farmers’ field in eight locations such West Byde (BRRI Gazipur), Khulna (Dumuria), Habiganj (Sadar), Chapainawabganj (Gomostapur), Rangpur Feni (Dagonbhuyan), Chattagram (Hathazari) Barishal (Sadar) during the season of Transplanting Aman 2018. The trial was replicated three times each location. unit plot size 17.94 m2 (4.6m x 3.9m). Seeding emergence for varied from 11-17 July Seedling age 25-30 days among locations. Seedlings transplanted 20 cm 15 spacing. NPKS Zn fertilizers applied rate 0, 15, 50, 12 3.6 kg ha-1, respectively. All except urea basal whereas, 3 equal splits 10, 25 40 after transplanting (DAT) Other standard management practices followed when necessary. No insecticide used because two lines insect resistant diseases not controlled (to identify susceptibility tolerance level lines). Date seeding, transplanting, flowering maturity, lodging tolerance, pest disease incidence, phenotypic acceptance vegetative ripening stage, yield components recorded. Among lines, line statistically significant Dhan49 Dhan33 respectively reaction, opinion, special character resistant, found to be superior further variety trial. main purpose experiment is recommended rice genotype proposed trail. For estimation, 9 sample area harvested maturity grain yields adjusted 14% moisture content.
